vExpert. It’s all about the Community

26th January 2023 vExpert 0

Congratulations to our fellow 1728 vExperts around the world who have recently achieved their vExpert 2020 or vExpert Pro. It’s an honour and a privilege to be a part of such a wonderful and exclusive group of talented people.  This marks our third star for both Peter and I, so we feel very fortunate as it is getting increasingly difficult to attain. To see who made the cut you can check the directory https://vexpert.vmware.com/directory to see a list and profile of each vExpert.  At the moment there are just two of us active on JTC but if you would like to know more about anything VMware related, vExpert or to join us, please reach out, @virtualjames or @VMpeterbladen or @justthecloud

This is me and this is Peter

vExperts demonstrate significant contributions to the community (#vCommunity you’ll often see us call it) and a willingness to share their knowledge and expertise with others. Contributing is not always blogging or Twitter as there are many VMUG leaders, public speakers, book authors, script writers, VCDX, VMTN community moderators and internal champions among this group.

To quote VMware “A vExpert is not a technical certification or even a general measure of VMware expertise”.  It’s for people who engage with their community on VMware related topics and who had developed a substantial personal platform of influence in their communities.  If you are active in your community and you’re passionate about all things virtualisation, then you should apply and see how you do.  You can always ask us for advice, not that we’re experts of course, we just try our best to share and learn.

If you missed out on the 2020 applications, VMware are opening the second half applications in June, 2020. Go to https://vexpert.vmware.com and fill out the “short form” and they will email you once the applications are open.

Thanks

James and Peter
